Afcon group B: Military junta threat works, Guinea 0 Senegal 0. Malawi shocks Zimbabwe 3-0.

A very desperate Sylli Stars of Guinea who are under threat by their military Junta to either win AFCON trophy or return investments on them forced their neighbors, the mighty Lions of Senegal to a barren draw on Thursday in Cameroon.

Guinea was so desperate that the country gleefully pocketed four yellow cards and Senegal got one.

It was not a good day for Liverpool star player captained Sadio Mane who wore a long face after the match.

In the other match of the group, The Flames of Malawi burnt Zimbabwe 2-1.

Zimbabwe opened scoring in the 38th minute but Malawi equalized in the 43rd minute. Gabadinho Mhango put the air out of the Zimbabwe sail with the winner in the 58th minute.

The group’s table is tight with Guinea bagging 4 points like Senegal while Malawi now with 3 points is above Zimbabwe standing at the ‘exist door’ with no point.

On the Tuesday 18th of January, Malawi will slug it out with Senegal and Zimbabwe will look for a record win or draw against Guinea.
