Bayern Munich is European Champions for the 6th time, beat PSG 1-0 to lift European Champions League

German Machine Bayern Munich lashed fanciful and wasteful Paris Saint German (PSG) of France 1-0 with a brilliant Kingsley Coman header in the 59th minute to lift the 2020 European Champions League at Lisbon on Sunday night.

Bayern became six times European champions playing in their 12th finals and playing against PSG for the fourth time winning all encounters. The finals was scheduled to have been played in Instabul, Turkey but was moved by FIFA to Lisbon because of the Covid-19 pandemic that hit the world.

PSG who were three times Eurpean Champions entered the field as favorites to lift the trophy but the wasted glaring chances from the opening whistle by the 44 year old Italian referee.

Bayern won 21 straight games to the final and were more careful and technical on the field of play.

Neymar came with his usual acts which the Bayern team could not contain as on one occasion, Gbarnaby kicked him in the 52nd minute which caused tension and the Bayern player bagged the yellow.

Neymar who crossed from Barcelona to avoid being under the shadow of Messi wept so much and had to be comforted by players on both sides.

Di Maria who combined beautifully with Mbape in the semis could both not operate as the Bayern defenders wonderfully decoded their telepathic passes.

Eufa administrators are toying with the idea of playing the last eight teams in a special format from next season.
