BINGHAM UNIVERSITY SHUTS DOWN.


Bingham University, a private University belonging to the ECWA church has directed that all her students especially the Medical Students on campus to go home with effect from Saturday morning.

Registrar of the University, Mrs. Esther Joy Dyaji told Patmos Media Line after their prolonged meeting that ended at about 6pm of Friday that decision is to c0mply with the Directive of the National Universities Commission (NUC).

According to her, the NUC has directed that all Nigerian Universities should close down by Thursday, 27th March 2020 but their institution decided to shut down immediately.

She said Bingham University located in Nasarawa State was awaiting the resumption of all her students who are currently on holidays but said a notice has gone out for a stay at home order.

The NUC order to universities is for them to shut down for 40 days with effect from next Thursday.

Patmos Media Line learnt that Babcock University, Ilisan Remo in Ogun State today ordered all her students to vacate the campus from Friday.

The University of Ibadan also ordered her undergraduate and postgraduate students to leave on Friday.

The Igbinedion University, Okada has given her students 72 hours to vacate the campus.
