Blood thirsty, invincible terrorist leader, Abubakar Shekau has committed suicide in Sambisa Forest.
He bombed himself in rival clash on Wednesday evening.
It is becoming obvious that the Boko Haram leader, Shekau the leader of the blood thirsty terrorist group who has nine lives like a cat and has reportedly died and resurfaced severally is finally dead as he has been reportedly killed in a power tussle with members of the Islamic State West African Province (ISWAP).
According to Intelligence sources, it was gathered that there was a fierce clash between Shekau’s men and that of ISWAP, a faction that broke out of Boko Haram in 2016, and has now occupied most of Sambisa forest.
A report stated that the incident occurred on May 19, 2021, at about 6:29pm.
The reports reads, “ISWAP top Fighter Baana Duguri on this selector – geolocated around sambisa forest Pulka Gwoza LGA BRS, informed ISWAP logistics commander Modu Sulum- geolocated opposite General hospital Konduga LGA Borno state that they killed Abubakar Shekau, Boko Haram leader in Sambisa Forest.”
“Duguri disclosed that the Iswap fighters’ team surrounded the Boko haram leader with his team and shooting ensued between the two factions.”
“Duguri further added that Shekau detonated a bomb and killed himself when he observed that the Iswap fighters wanted to capture him alive.”
“Furthermore, Duguri informed Sulum that the two sides also lost some fighters during the shooting .He averred that even on Tuesday Iswap was pursuing Abubakar Shekau and he Shekau discarded his cap and ran but today the pursuit continued and he was finally killed.”
“Duguri asked Modu Sulum if the other BH members who fled are returning to their houses.”
The report further reads, “In his response, Sulum rejoiced over the death of Abubakar Shekau and glorified God over the success. He also said few Boko Haram members are returning to their houses” the report reads.
According to intelligence sources, it was gathered that several members of the two factions were seriously injured during the clash they ensued.
Meanwhile, the Nigerian Army has placed all Borno State Commands of the Nigerian Army and Air force on Alert.
Meanwhile, when contacted by Patmos Media Line, the Public Relation Officer of the Nigeria Army, Brig. Gen. Mohammed Yerima who spoke from a training program said he could not make comments as he is yet to be briefed.
A top military source told Patmos Media Line that even the International media has reported his death but the Nigerian military wants to avoid past embarrassment of rushing to announce his death only for the man to resurface in videos.
On Boko Haram Leader Shekau death, a security report obtained said, “Unconfirmed source reported that the leader of JAS Abubakar shekau was dethroned and killed by ISWAP and they have taken over the entire sambisa forest.
“With these development ISWAP are more equipped and funded than JAS. So their mode of operation will change, and there is likely going to experience frequent attacks around Konduga, Bama, Gwoza, Biu LGA’S and part of Adamawa.
“All humanitarians around the axis should be security conscious and be very vigilant.”
