President Muhammadu Buhari will proceed to London, the United Kingdom on Friday June 25, for a scheduled medical follow-up. Presidential spokesman, Femi Adesina confirmed this in a statement in Abuja on Thursday. “He is due back in the country during the second week of July, 2021,’’ the presidential aide stated. The president returned from his previous medical trip to London in April.
Buhari is unarguably the most traveled leader of Nigeria for Medical tourism and has been roundly criticized for not upgrading medical facilities in Nigeria instead of junketing abroad at least twice a year for medical checkups.
He has never officially disclosed his medical ailment leaving people to speculate with some saying his Doctors in London advised him to resign because of his acute dementia and hearing challenge.
His wife, Aisha had gone to Saudi for a neck pain which can be treated in Nigeria as an out-patient issue.
