Deeper Life Pastor, Elaigwu Odogbo emerges new Och’Idoma

Elaigwu Odogbo John, a pastor of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry, has emerged the new Och’Idoma, a paramount Ruler of the Idoma Nation.

The 52-year-old clergy defeated Andrew Idakwu and Sunday Echono to emerge the new king in Idoma land after the demise of His Royal Highness, Agabaidu Elias Ikoyi Obekpa who went on hunting expedition on October 10.

Recall that the Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom had assured that selection of the new Och’Idoma would be transparent.

Pastor Elaigwu was born on 27th March,1969 as the 5th born to the family of Mr. ELAIGWU EKOJA in Obagaji the headquarters of AGATU Local Government Area of Benue State.

Further reports say there is currently jubilation in Otukpo, the ancestral headquarters of Idoma nation following the emergence of Pastor John Elaigwu as the new Och’Idoma.

The cleric defeated top contenders like Prof. Armstrong Adejoh, Arc. Sonny Echone (Perm Sec, Federal Ministry of Education) and others.

His emergence triggered wild jubilation on the street of Otukpo as many described the process that led to his election as free and fair.

Some people who spoke with IDOMA VOICE wished the new monarch long life on the throne.

He is a graduate of the prestigious Ahmadu Bello University Zaria (1994) with B.Sc honors in Accounting and currently running a PhD programs in Accounting at the Nasarawa State University Keffi.

3- Post Graduate Diploma in Education (2015) from National Teacher Institute.

4- M.Sc Accounting and Finance, Nasarawa State University, Keffi.

5- Phd (in view) in Accounting from Nasarawa State University Keffi.

6- He is a Fellow of Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (FCITN)

7- Fellow Certified National Accountants of Nigeria, (FCNA)

8- Associate member of Nigeria Institute of Management.

9- A Group Pastor (Penticost Group) Deeper Life Bible Church.

Comrade Pst Elaigwu has been running his professional career with Federal Inland Revenue Service, FIRS where he worked for 23 years and had rose to the position of Assistant Director.

Comrade Pst Elaigwu held so many positions in the organization Within the period of his stay.

Comrade Elaigwu served as Chairman, Association of Senior Civil Servants of Nigeria for two tenure from 2004 to 2012.

ELAIGWU also served as National Exofficio of the same Association from 2012 to July, 2018.
