Eyimba of Nigeria walks on tight rope lose 0-1 to Ah-Ahly in group A CAF championship.

The Elephants (Eyimba) of Aba were Thursday night at the Martyrs of Febrauary Stadium in Cairo shot 1-0 by Al Ahly Beghazi in the group A of the CAF

Confederation cup.Tel Taib shot the hosts up 40 minutes in the 1st half in match where three yellow cards flew to Ahly and two to Eyimba with Timothy Danladi of Eyimba bagging a red card.

Eyimba had won the first leg in Nigeria 2-1.

Our ace reporter who filed in the report, Eniola Olatunji said the Eyimba boys were more determined to win the match after a financial crunch that made it difficult to arrange a flight and they almost missed the encounter.

The result opens the group to a usual permutation plot as Orlando Pirates lead the group with 9 points; Al-Ahly is second with 7 points; Enyimba has 6 points and Es Setif is 4th with 5points.

The final matches of the group will be played on Wednesday, 28th April.

Eyimba will host Orlando Pirates while Es Setif will host Ah Ahly in a winner takes all outlook.

The permutation is therefore Eyimba win will give the Aba team 9 points and a qualification. A draw will mean bye to the next stage as only two topmost teams go to the next stage.

Eyimba will pray that ES Setif wins and that will mean even with the Es Setif victory, the club is out with Ah-Ahly. Even a draw there and a win for Eyimba means Eyimba moves forward.
