FG appoints CEO of Channels TV, John Momoh as Interim chairman of UNILAG Governing Council.

Feelers from Abuja, the Nigerian capital late on Monday night revealed that the 63 year old Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Channels Television, Dr. John Olatchy Momoh has been appointed the Interim Chairman of the Governing Council of the University of Lagos, (UNILAG) pending the conclusion of the sitting of the Visitation Panel set up by President Muhammadu Buhari to the University.

Dr. Momoh was an iconic Broadcaster who rose from the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) to start his own media and later became President of the Broadcasting Organizations of Nigeria (BON).

Born 1st July 1957, Dr. Momoh is the current President of the UNILAG Alumni Association Worldwide.

Patmos Media Line learnt that both old students of the prestigious Nigerian university and the few Media practitioners who heard of the news late on Monday night had been eager to connect and celebrate the man with the baritone voice who invaded their homes with newscast.

Attempt to reach him on how he may want to steer the rumbled ship of UNILAG till about midnight of Monday by Patmos Media Line proved abortive.
