Fire guts Igbudu Market in Warri for the second time in a month.

A devastating fire, the second within a month has gutted a section of the popular Igbudu Market in Warri South Local Government Area of Delta State,

Reports from Warri states that the fire, which occurred about 3 pm on Sunday, affected a section of the market housing several stores at the Hausa Quarters end of the market and two buildings were razed by the raging inferno before the arrival of firefighters.

The cause of the fire incident could not be ascertained but it was successfully put out by men of the Warri Fire Service, who later arrived at the scene to combat the inferno.

The Chairman of Warri South Local Government, Dr. Michael Tidi, frowned at the attitude of some youths from the Igbudu community, who threw pebbles at the truck of the Warri Fire Service, for allegedly not responding to the distress calls in time.
