The unexpected happened in Rivers State Friday night as Gunmen invaded a Cemetary to exhume the body of late Chairman of Asari Tolu LGA in the state.
The late chairman, Princewill Odiari had died of Covid-19 related case on Wednesday night and buried by officials of the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Thursday morning.
However, gunmen stormed the Port Harcourt cemetery to exhume the remains of late Odiari on Friday night so they can rebury him in Buguma.
However, our source revealed that while the gunmen were still at the cemetery, information on their activities got to the officials of the Rivers state government who immediately sent security operatives to stop transfer of the coffin into Buguma.
Reports say Governor Nyesom Wike was so angry upon receiving the report that he immediately announced the lockdown of the state until further notice for alleged general disobedience to covid-19 rules in the state.
