INDEX CORONAVIRUS PATIENT ESCAPES IN ANAMBRA MOTOR PARKS SHUT DOWN, GOV EXTENDS LOCKDOWN.

The Anambra State Government has shut down all Motor parks in the state following the missing of her Index coronavirus patient.

But while going to the press, the State Governor, Willie Obiano increased the lockdown on the state by another two weeks in a broadcast.

He warned that the state will not tolerate disobedience. But reports say commercial Motor Cyclists (Okada people) vowed to disobey because they bought the okada on higher purchase and have already lost two weeks of the bargain to remit their debt.

State Commissioner for Transport, Christian Madubuko announced earlier on Saturday warning that anybody who resists the immediate shut down of any Motor Park within the state with immediate effect shall “incur the wrath of the government”.

The patient had come in from Lagos and was tested positive after showing signs of the virus but had disappeared into thin air hours before the state declaration.

He had ordered all owners and Managers of Public and private parks in the State to close their parks immediately.

The move is to ensure that this index case is located.

Reports say the State Police Command had sent out its men and officers with photographs to get the patient.
