The Presidency in Kenya has suspended all public visits to prisons and all mass public gatherings or meetings of any nature all for 30 days within the country.
The Government also suspended inter-school gatherings either for sporting activities or otherwise for the same period.
A document from the Presidency in Nairobi said the move is to reduce the spread of the pandemic virus called Coronavirus (COVID-19).
In the document with ref no OP/PA/1/19A sent from the office of the President to all Regional and County Commissioners, government also suspended inter-agency, inter institutions and inter religious gatherings for the same 30 days.
It then directed her Ministry of Health to ensure hygienic living in public places within the period.
