Nigeria has chosen her two major international airports, the Murtala Muhammed Airport, Lagos and the Nnamidi Azikwe Airport in Abuja to receive passengers over the prevailing Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

Health Minister, Prof Ehamire announced this in Abuja during the daily COVID-19 briefings.

He said the federal government has shut down the Port Harcourt, Enugu and Kano airports to reduce stress on monitoring the spread of the virus.

Aviation watchers have been complaining that travellers from banned countries now use Nigerian airports especially Lagos to redirect their journeys.
