Liverpool youngster Ovie Ejaria has been cleared by the world football governing body FIFA to switch allegiance from the England.

Ejaria was born in England to Nigerian parents and has played for England at the age grade level, including winning the FIFA U-17 and U-20 world cup.

The forward who is currently on loan at championship side Reading, reportedly requested for a nationality change last year and his wishes has now been granted by FIFA.

The complete switch of nationality means the skillful forward is now eligible to play Nigeria.

Ejiara has been monitored by coach of the Nigerian team Gernot Rohr and the player is said to be interested in joining the Super Eagles set as soon as possible.

However the 22 year old who has scored four goals from 48 games for Reading this season must work hard before he can break into the Super Eagles attack that already consist of Victor Osimhen, Cyriel Dessers, Samuel Chukwueze, Simon Moses and others.

Should he finally get the chance to represent Nigeria, he will become another promising talent who has switched allegiance to Nigeria from England after the likes of Victor Moses and Alex Iwobi.
