Nigerian Veterinary Medical Association loses its President, Prof Bello Agaie to Coronavirus disease

President of Nigerian Veterinary Medical Association (NVMA), Prof Bello Mohammed Agaie has died from Coronavirus complications.

Prof Bello Agaie, a former Dean of Students Affairs at the Usmanu Danfodiyo University specialized in Pharmacology and Toxicology.

Mary Noel-Berje, the Chief Press Secretary to Governor Abubakar Sani of Niger state made the announcement via Twitter.

Prof Agaie was the 16th President of the NVMA whose investiture on march 27, 2019 was the first of its kind for NVMA to have a ceremony. He was elected President in October 2018 in Sokoto before his investiture.

“He (Gov. Sani) prayed that Almighty Allah forgives his shortcomings and grant him Aljannatu Firdausi.” She wrote.

“Governor Abubakar Sani of Niger State has revealed that so far ten (10) persons have been confirmed positive for coronavirus out of 202 samples collected and tested.
