The Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki has joined the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
He collected his membership card at Ward 4, Oredo Local Government hours after being shoved aside by the APC.
Governor Obaseki had stood his ground that he would not appeal his disqualification from the primaries.
It was gathered that the governor is moving into the PDP with all the 18 Local Government Chairmen in Edo State together with 12 lawmakers in the State Assembly.
Also, Governors of the PDP are billed to visit him this weekend
Obaseki had been in running battle with the APC National Chairman, Adams Oshiomole who was reported to have brought Obaseki into APC and his present position as Governor.
All efforts to settle their grievances proved abortive as each person stood their ground.
Obaseki had pressured the Oshiomole people to leave his government.
The APC is to hold its primaries on June 22.
