The South West people are still holding consultations to fine tune their security outfit Amotekun and upgrade security in the zone.
Patmos Media Line gathered that Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde met with the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi; Yinka Odumakin and some top Yoruba leaders at the Government House, Ibadan on Sunday afternoon.

The security of the region has been uppermost in the hearts of the Governors of the area who in Unity vowed not to go back on their Amotekun security design.
Oyo State has signed into law the Amotekun Bill like other Southwest States.

The meeting was held behind closed doors and no one was mandated to speak on behalf of the group while those there maintained sealed lips.
Patmos Media Line learnt that Engr. Makinde seized the opportunity to speak with the Alaafin alone on the Ekiti State Chieftaincy dispute. We reported that Governor Makinde frowned at the content of the letter of the Chairman of the Ekiti Obas Council, the Alawe of Ilawe Ekiti, Oba Ajibade Alabi Afuntade 1 saying it does not show respect to the person and status of the Alaafin.
Oba Alabi had said in his 15 paragraph letter that the Alaafin was meddling in their domestic affair and should be called to order with some allegations of records of mischief by the Alaafin.

The leading traditional leaders of Yorubaland, the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi 111; The Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Ogunwusi Ojaja 11; Awujale of Ijebuland, Oba Sikiru Adetona Ogbagba 11; Alake of Egbaland, Oba Gbadebo Adedotun; Owa Obokun of Ijesaland, Oba Adekunle Aromolaran; The Orangun of Ila, Oba Abdulwahab Oyedotun Bibire 11 and the Olu of Ilaro, Oba Kehinde Olugbile in consultation wrote a letter to Governor Fayemi but signed by the Alaafin of Oyo with his letter headed paper.

Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State had met with the Alaafin at the Royal Father’s home at Jericho Extension, Ibadan and not Aafin Oyo as reported before the Alaafin went to meet the Oyo State Governor.
Governor Fayemi promised there would be a solution to the imbroglio very soon.
