PUGILIST OLUWO OF IWO TAKEN TO COURT: SLAMMED WITH 100M NAIRA SUIT -SIX OBAS VOW TO TESTIFY.

Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Akanbi.

The royal boxing saga that that thrown the Osun State political image at general laughter is far from resolved as the allegedly assaulted Agbowu of Ogbaagba, Oba Sikirullahi has slammed a 100million Naira assault case on the hot tempered Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdulrasheed Akanbi in court.

The writ of summon filed by his lawyer, Soji Oyetayo dated 27th February, 2020 is demanding the money from the Oluwo for alleged assault and also seeking a perpetual injunction restraining the Oluwo as defendant, his servants and or agents from further acts of assault on him.

Oba Akinropo who also demanded a one million Naira deposed in a 39 paragraph statement of claims that the Oluwo personally attacked him at the office of the Police AIG, in charge of zone 11, Bashir Makama, who had called for a peace meeting amongst royal fathers from Iwo axis over land disputes in the presence of other Monarchs and some members of the State Executive Council and inflicted severe injuries on him which was later treated at the Osun State Specialist Hospital, Oshogbo.

In the summon, the litigant explained that their grouse was a 10 acre land lying around three local government areas of Iwo, Ayedire and OlaOluwa of which the Oluwo is claiming a superintendent and superior role before selling it.

He said the opposition of the Obas present including him insisting that the Oluwo is arrogating to himself a power that does not belong to him led to the anger and assault inflicted on him.

In the writ of summon, six other Obas from three local Government areas who claimed to have witnessed the ‘roforofo fight’ also deposed to affidavits to testify on behalf of the Agbowu.

It will be recalled that Patmos Media Line reported that the Osun State Council of Obas had suspended the Oluwo from sitting with them for six months but he initially kicked saying that the Obas were jealous of his swagger before the Oluwo in Council transmitted the acceptance of the Verdict to the Chairman, His Eminence, Ooni of Ife. Oba Enitan Adewusi.

There was a hint that the police were investigating the randy Monarch who had divorced his once esteemed wife over domestic issues, fought and banned a high Chief, Abiola Ogundokun from the palace and had not withdrawn the curses he placed on the Agbowu in a viral video in which he said the assaulted Oba would end as a psychiatric patient at Aro in Abeokuta.
