Teachers in Tertiary Institutions distant learning in Nigeria elect officers.
An assemblage of Open, Distance and eLearning (ODeLAN) stakeholders in Nigeria has been officially inaugurated.

Professor Francis Egbokhare
The group elected Professor Francis Egbokhare of the University of Ibadan as its first ever President in a virtual meeting on Thursday.
The immediate past Director of the University of Ibadan Distant Learning School, Prof Oyesoji Aremu was elected 1st Vice President while Prof. Abubakar Kotos of the Modibo Adamawa University of Technology, Yola was picked as the 2nd Vice President.
Dr. Bankole Ogunleye of the National Open University of Nigeria is the secretary; Dr. Maruff Oladejo of the University of Lagos is Assistant Secretary while Prof. Chinyere Egwuogu of the Tai Solarin University of Education is the Financial secretary.
Other officials are Prof. Theresa Ohi Odumuh of the University of Abuja - Treasurer; Dr. Gbenga Eretan of the University of Lagos - Publicity Secretary; Prof. Musa Aibinu of the Federal University of Technology, Minna –Auditor; while Prof. Aishat Mubi of the Modibo Adamawa University of Technology, Yola is an Ex Officio Member.
The group actually started on Thursday June 4, 2020 via a Whatsapp group but now has some 150 members in its fold.
The group helps people to achieve their academic goals outside the four walls of the ivory tower through learning from afar without the rigours of the classroom work and pressure of having to resign their jobs because they want to upgrade themselves.
