UCH CMD AND TWO OTHER PROFS FREE FROM COVID-19 HOLD. FG APPOINTS TWO MORE CMDs.

There was wild jubilation at the University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan when three of the top Professors who had tested positive to the Coronavirus disease were returned as negative and now free of the disease.

The Chief Medical Director, Prof. Jesse Abiodun Otegbayo was reported to have danced out his heart in worship to the God of Heaven thanking well-wishers who came to rejoice with him in a video clip with Patmos media Line.

Two other professors of College of Medicine, University of Ibadan hit by COVID-19 are now free.

Mr. Toye Akinrinola, the public relations officer of the hospital said the two other professors, Professor Oluwabunmi Olapade-Olaopa, the Provost of the College and his deputy, Prof. Obafunke Denloye got the clean bill after second tests were conducted.

It is believed that the retinue of Medical Directors including the Director of Finance and Accounts who are on self-isolation will soon get a clean bill too.


Meanwhile the Federal Government has appointed two Chief Medical Directors for two medical facilities. They are Dr Bassey Eyo Edet and Dr. Aisha Adamu.

While Edet will head Neuro-Psychiatric Hospital, Calabar, Cross River, Adamu will head Federal Medical Centre, Jalingo, Taraba State.
