Video: Oyo State seeks collaboration on education development.

  • Commends old students of Ibadan Christ Apostolic Grammar School for donating 500pairs of students’ furniture worth N10m.

The Oyo State Government has expressed a strong desire to collaborate with all stakeholders, organizations and individual in uplifting the standard of education in the state.

Permanent Secretary Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, Alhaja Aminat Atere stated this in Ibadan the Oyo State Capital on Tuesday while commissioning 500 pairs of students furniture worth N10 million to the Ibadan Christ Apostolic Grammar School Aperin-Oniyere, donated by the old students of the school as part of 2021 national project.

Alhaja Atere lauded the old boys of the school for the sense of belonging and their efforts in giving back to their alma mater while she also encouraged the beneficiaries to emulate the old students’ kind gesture and make good use of the furniture.

The national president of the association and a former commissioner in Oyo State, Dr. Morounkola Thomas gave kudos to the Oyo State government for their laudable program on renovation of schools, provision of textbooks/exercise books and conduct of extra lesson which had yielded positive result.

Dr. Thomas said the old student of the school will not relent in supporting government efforts in lifting education to higher level.

The Old students’ President was full of gratitude to all the sets that donated the facilities to the school and assured the management of the school of their constant support.

Patmos Media Line reporter also said the old students are currently organizing extra grooming for final year students in SS3 to ensure excellent result from graduating students adding that some brilliant as well as financially incapacitated students were sponsored by the old students.

In a goodwill message, the first President of the old students association, Mr. Sola Osotoye commended the current executive of the association ably lead by Dr. Morohunkola Thomas for a good job done since inception of the current administration.

.The entire staff and students of CAC Grammar School 2 expressed profound appreciation of the effort made by the current ICAGSOBA executive members in securing student's furniture for us. “We thank all the old boys that have contributed in cash towards the fulfilment of this laudable project. God will bless you more and more. Thank you.”
