World Men’s Tennis numero uno, Novak Djokovic and wife tests positive for coronavirus.

The men's world number one tennis player, Novak Djokovic has tested positive for the coronavirus disease as he confirmed the diagnosis in a statement.

In April, Djokovic had revealed he was an anti-vaxxer - and that it could get in the way of his return to competitive tennis once the sport resumes after the coronavirus pandemic.

The report monitored on Sky News stated that the Serbian and his wife, Jelena, tested positive for COVID-19, but his children tested negative.

Djokovic held a tennis tournament last weekend in Croatia, amid the ongoing pandemic - a move which has been heavily criticized after he brought in players from overseas.

This finally rules out Djokovic from the US Open scheduled for July.

He had complained that the protocols of the competition was inconvenient.
