The Presidency has written the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila stating that his members who refused airport tests are a threat to the nation.
The Law makers were reported to constantly display arrogance at the airport snubbing officials there and walking away by the media.
Days after media reports, The Chief of Staff to the President, Abba Kyari in a memo with ref. no SH/COS/TP/R3 and titled COVID-19 Airport screening; the Presidency requested Hon Gbajabiamila to do something about his members.
The letter wrote: “these airport screenings are our primary line of defense and refusal by any citizen to subject to the tests is a threat to our nation”.
Abba Kyari pleaded with the Honorable Speaker: “You are kindly requested to direct all members of the House who returned from foreign trips to report themselves to the nearest NCDC test center with immediate effect”.
Lagos State Commissioner for Health, Prof. Akin Abayomi who has been working with the Federal Ministry of Health at the Lagos Airport had alleged that many returnees were not observing regulations on airport screening and self-isolation of 14 days which he said was absolutely dangerous for the mission and purpose of the nation.

Meanwhile facts seems to be emerging concerning the son of the PDP Presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar that the man refused to report himself and observe self-isolation for ten days after returning from a foreign trip as demanded by the authorities..
It was said that he attended the Jumat service on Friday and sat with worshipers.
He was also said to have to have attended a night club, PLAY LOUNGE at Wuse 2, Abuja same Friday night clubbing with friends and wife. PLAY LOUNGE has since shut down.
It was learnt that the NCDC has requested all those who were at the Jumat service and the club with him to contact NCDC.
We learnt that his co residence at his Estate in Abuja were the ones who allegedly called the police on Him on Saturday before he was forcefully evacuated to the Gwagwalada Specialist Hospital where he was said to have tested positive.
Alhaji Atiku had late on Sunday Night alerted the nation via his Tweeter handle that his son tested positive to Coronavirus and was receiving treatment at the Gwagwalada Hospital.
In another development, the Special Adviser to the Bauchi State Governor on Media affairs, Ladan Salihu said Monday on his Tweeter handle that the Bauchi State Governor has gone into self-isolation following contact with Atiku’s son.
Ladan Salihu explained that they were on the same flight with the guy from Lagos to Abuja. They shook hands and exchanged pleasantries.
He wrote: “The Governor and the rest of us have taken tests. The result will be negative in Sha Allah”.
